Tasting Tickets will be sold 5 tickets for $1. The tasting tickets are what determine the People?s Choice winner,
so buy enough to be sure the chili of your choice wins. There will be bribing allowed and you never know what
will be offered to bribe you for your vote. This is sure to be a tasty fun day for all who participate.
This is an ?Outlaw Chili Cook-Off?, so the only rules are that you cannot begin tasting or bribing before 1pm, but
your entry must be available at 1pm.

Chefs provide their own tasting cups/bowls and spoons.
Are you a chili chef? Have your friends and family told you that your chili is the best in
the west? Cook us up a batch of your finest chili and prove to Deer Park that you are the
best!

Last weekend a small scouting party from NCEB went on a visit to The Sequoians, a nudist resort in Castro Valley. They are a very gay-friendly 80-acre private club with facilities that include bbqs, rec house with full kitchen, tennis, swimming, jacuzzi, several decks, hiking, etc.

<br>We found a spot near the rec area and set up our picnic stuff on one of the large tables. After cooking our delicious chicken and shrimp, we sat down to a great meal we all contributed to. The bees liked it so much, we decided to move indoors.
<br>
<br>Next we cleared everything off an went on a hike. We went on the 1/2-mile water tower trail which was a pleasant introduction to the facilities. There are many other hiking trails with more advanced hiking skills suggested. These weave in and out of the adjoining state parks so club member are asked to slip something on when entering these areas. The trail we went on, however, was completely within the park so we did not have to put anything on.

<br>After we returned from our hike, two of us went swimming in the pool. I decided to relax on one of the many chaise lounges on a tree-shaded grassy green below the pool area. The weather was perfect and there was a delightful gentle breeze that made for a pleasant time reading and lounging.
<br>
<br>After the pool, we decided to head out and drop by my place for some nice cold banana-mango smoothies. We hopped in the car and drove totally naked to my place in Oakland where we backed into the driveway and slipped out of the car and into the backyard unnoticed. After our smoothies, we said our goodbyes and only then got dressed. It was a great time and we're all looking forward to doing it again.

<br>If anyone else is interested, we are hoping to get more members of the group to go so we can get a group discount with seven or more.
